I was in the store today, and needed to get some foundation. But I noticed that the foundation colors only get but so dark. I'm not even that dark of a female and I have the worst time finding my shade because it needs to be the darkest shade in a makeup line, but I know there are some that are darker completion than me, like almost black. Are they supposed to use these lighter shades of makeup that doesn't suit the rest of there skin tone? Has anybody seen any products for African American in really dark shades? Why don't they sell makeup for true African complection females?

Have you seen an Avon brochure lately? What kind of coverage are you looking for? If light to medium coverage is what you need...maybe a mineral makeup powder will do (Avon has that too). Check out the avon.com site to browse and see what they have that might work - maybe you can find someone local or order online... Hope you find what you are looking for!
Iman, Black Radiance, Black Opal, and other makeup lines make them..
CoverGirl has a line for African skin tones ';CoverGirl Queen';..... I find them too dark for me, you should try them out.
