I am currently thinking about working at one of those makeup counters in a department store. How much do they make per hour?How much do the ladies who sell you makeup at department stores make?
Depends on the makeup company. I've heard MAC starts around $16 an hour, but you have to keep up sales, and can be promoted to make more. Some counters may pay comission only, meaning your payment depends on how much you sell.How much do the ladies who sell you makeup at department stores make?
Why not find a product you love that you can buy wholesale and sell and makeup unlimited amounts and work your own hours! Report Abuse

If I had known the work involved at a corporate job, the hours, working three people's jobs, etc. - now it's worse - I wouldn't have left working the counter - it ended up being the same pay, less ';respectable'; and you're typically at a mall, but I definitely recommend it - the worst is being on your feet all day and night, late hours and sometimes you're schedule makes you work late night and early morning six days a week, etc. You don't have any two days off in a row, no set steady schedule.
depends on which store and state you are going to work at. they don't make that much, but if you are good at selling then you'll make money, because they get commission, thats why they are so pushy.





maybe a dollar or two more than minimum wage, plus commission.
