it seems as if everytime i try to buy foundation or powder, the sales associate always tries to sell me something a shade or two darker? is this some sort of trend? i dont want my face to be darker than my neck. im asking because im really curious. i dont kow if its just a trend or if im just unlucky. so, if youre a makeup assistant, id love to hear from you...Why do makeup assistants try to sell darker makeup?
its not that. most people tend to buy a foundation that is too light for them. it also tends to look darker in the package. it also depends the undertones. sometimes say if you have alot of redness a makeup with more beige will be good but can look darker. once on and blended properly it should look like natural skin. always test a few different shades before buying. Why do makeup assistants try to sell darker makeup?

Sorry, I'm not a make up assistant but I think it's because when you put it on your skin it actually turns out lighter than it actually looks. It's lighter 'cause when it's all packed up in the jar it looks really dark but when you even it out in smaller portions it turns 1 or 2 shades lighter.
