Avon or Mary Kay??? Which has better makeup, more popular, easiest to sell?

I'm a stay at home mother and I have exhausted my self mentally trying to figure something to do to make some extra spending cash. I have gone back and forth on Mary Kay and Avon and still am not sure. I love make up like the eyeliners and eye shadows not so much the face stuff, so which is better in quality. Please help.Avon or Mary Kay??? Which has better makeup, more popular, easiest to sell?
Personally I prefer Mary Kay. I have used both but I think that Avon is a ';cheap'; version. I also think it depends how you want to work with Mary Kay you throw parties and things to earn money Avon you just give people books to order from. If you are into the whole trowing parties then Mary Kay is the best route but if you don't have time for that then you can also make money with Avon.....This may sound bad but think about how much money the people you know have are they well off or usually short on cash you need to think about that too....That's where you start family and fiends and blossom from there....Hope this helps on your decision.Avon or Mary Kay??? Which has better makeup, more popular, easiest to sell?
I believe that avon is better. not just because i sell it my self. but because it is cheaper so more people will by it. and i believe its better richer quality. that is why i picked it. also marykay has alot of perfumes in their products. so people with sensitive skin, ae my self and mother, cannot use it as freely as others. i also feel that marykay smelled like that 'old lady' musky smell that people dread. i went to a mk meeting, and i prefered the benefits from avon better. you can get so many bonuses, win free laptops, even get discounts on phone services. also with avon you only have to pay a start up fee of 10 dollars. with marykay you have to buy a whole system for almost 200 dollars. i also know this because my friend sells mary kay. and buys avon from me. you can have parties with avon as well. how much money you want to invest in it is up to you!

with avon you can also bring in a younger crowd with the mark line all the way up through your grandmothers crowd. let me know if you are really interested in this, i can get you more info, and even sign you up!
mary kay for sure...i hate avon.
definatly mary kay! no question about it. i love mary kay skin care and make up. avon had good varity products but i hate their makeup and skin care/lotions and perfumes. they are okay if you are in 10th grade or jr high school. i think anyone 17 or over should be using decent products that will not cause them to break out more then nature already demands! lol. just thinking of avon makeup is making my skin feel itchy. eww. good luck in your business choice though. (i know alot of ppl that also do well selling pampered chef, if you like to cook)
Mary Kay!! my mum sells it and its REALY good quality, i use it every day=}
i like Avon better.
Mary Kay. I think.
well depending on who your clients are and what their spending limit is i would consider avon for more of a less expensive brand and well known, also very good quality. and mary kay for the more expesive choice of beauty products. i once was in your shoes, stay at home mom, bored as hell and wanted that little bit of pocket change, so i sold avon to family and friends. i made a little bit, but i heard if you really apply yourself you have the potential of making quite a bit!!
Well Avon is a more popular name but Mary Kay has more quality and is for the older crowd.
If you want quality make up, macy's has a nice selection. :D. But if you just want to keep it simple and under budget, I would say Avon.
The best thing to do is to contact a consultant and let her tell you about the opportunity and give you all the facts you want to make an informed decision.

Just from experience, you'll make more money faster with Mary Kay and it's only $100 (not including local tax and shipping) to get started. Don't let anyone fool you into believing that you have to shell out more than that to get your showcase. The showcase provides you well over $300 worth in full size product and all the stuff you need to get you started in learning materials, cds, bags, etc.

I will be happy to talk with you about the opportunity and the facts.
personally, I'd pick Avon over Mary Kay. Plus, Avon now has that Mark line which is really cool makeup with cool colors. Go to the websites and have a rep from both visit you and then you can decide which you like better.
Mary Kay has a much better quality line all the way around. I like the diverse products that Avon sells, but Mary Kay has a much better quality. However, not everyone can afford Mary Kay, but there is something for every budget in the Avon catalogs. Hope this helps ya.
It depends how much money and time you have to invest. I have talked to Mary Kay reps who had to get out of the business because they were required to keep so much in sales and so much inventory, they just couldn't do it. If you just need extra spending money, I'd say Avon.
Only you can decide which is better for you. everyone opinion is going to be different I meet people that are so excited they found me and other who run.

If you are that torn then try Avon it is only $10 then you will know if it was right for you. Personally I don't see how you will make money with it but some do
Absolutely Mary Kay. I definitely sugest you to contact one MK consultant and attend with her one of their meetings or special events, where you will know about the benefits of becoming a MK consultant, plus the beautiful environment of the community. You will have ';your own independant business'; on a basis of the golden rule: God first, second your family and third your career. Not to mention the amazing prizes you will be able to obtain. Mary Kay is the largest selling company in US and Mexico. Myself, I am a mexican beauty consultant and feel very happy of being part of MK. Its such a sad thing Im so far from where you are cause I would be pleased of sharing with you this opportunity.

I wish you the best of lucks!
